What We Believe
We believe that there is one true God and that the Godhead is comprised of three parts: the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. (Genesis 1:2,27; Matthew 28:19; 1John 5:7)
We believe that the Holy Bible is the inspired Word of God (2Tim 3:16)
We believe in Salvation through the confession of Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour.
(Acts 4:12; Romans 10:9-10; Acts 16:31; Eph 1:13-14; 1John 5:1)
We believe that you must be born again in order to spend eternity with Jesus. Those who reject Jesus and die outside of Christ will face the judgment of God but those who die “in Him” shall share in His glory in the Kingdom of Heaven forever. (John 3:5; Daniel 12:2; Matthew 25:46; John 5:29; Jude 1:7; Ex 36:25-27)
We believe that salvation is made possible by the shedding of the blood of Jesus Christ. We are justified when we repent of our sins and believe in Jesus Christ. (Eph1:7; 1Pet 1:18-19; Rom 5:9; Eph 2:13; 1John 1:7; Acts 13:38,39)
We believe in water baptism by full immersion in water in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost. Baptism is for believers only. (Matthew 3:11; Matthew 28:18-19; John 14:6)
We believe in the baptism (infilling) of the Holy Spirit with speaking in other tongues as the initial evidence of this experience.
We believe in the operation of the nine gifts of the Spirit and the fruit of the Spirit.
(Acts 2:4; Acts 10:44-46; Acts 19:6; 1Corinthians 12:4-11; Gal 5:22-23)
We believe in the miraculous, delivering power of God, including healing of the sick through prayer. (Mark 16:18; Acts 3:2-12; Acts 5:15, 16; James 5:14-15). However, we do not condemn medical science.
We believe in the Second Coming of our Lord, Jesus Christ, and the resurrection of the dead.
(Acts 1:10,11; 1Thessalonians 4:13-18; Revelation 1:7)
We believe in communion, or the Lord’s Supper, as an ordinance given to all believers by Jesus Christ to remember His sacrifice for us and to symbolise the new covenant. The elements of bread and wine or juice are symbols of Christ’s broken body and shed blood. Communion is not a means of salvation. Rather, it is a testament of a believer’s faith in the atoning work of the cross.
We believe in the sacredness of marriage between one man & one woman and family commitment. We promote strong family values. (Ephesians 5:31-33; Ephesians 6:1-4; Hebrews 13:4; Matthew 19:5; Leviticus 18:22; Genesis 2:24)
We believe in the continuation of the ministry of Jesus through believers, in the power of the Spirit.
(Acts 10:38; Mark 16:15-18)
